2012

2012 Wheelie Waste was awarded the kerbside collection services for waste, recycling and public litter for Hepburn Shire.
2011

2011 Wheelie Waste was was successful in obtaining the waste and recycling contract for the Macedon Ranges Shire as well as the operation and bulk haulage of waste from the Bendigo Transfer Station at Eaglehawk. Wheelie Waste were also awarded the waste & recycling collection contract for the Mt Alexander Shire Council. As an extension to our council services Wheelie Waste also offers private services in all of the areas listed above.
2010

2010 In 2010 Wheelie Waste was awarded the Garbage and Recycling Collection Contract for the Golden Plains Shire and also the recieval of recycling from the Moira Shire.
2009

2009 Wheelie Waste was awarded the Waste and Recycling contract for the Shire of Strathbogie and the Litter Bin Collection Contract for Greater Shepparton.
2008

2008 Wheelie Waste was awarded the recyclables collection, acceptance & sorting as well as the waste contract for the Southern Grampians Shire Council. Further in 2008, Wheelie Waste were also successful in securing their current Contract with Corangamite Shire for the waste, organics and recyclables collection for a further seven years.
2007

2007 Adding to Shepparton in 2007 Wheelie Waste was also successful in winning the recyclable collection and sorting contract for Greater Shepparton City Council.
2006

2006 Wheelie Waste was awarded the Colac Otway Shire waste, recyclables and green waste contract. Also in 2006 Wheelie Waste was awarded the Greater Shepparton City Council waste and green waste contract. This contract includes 24,000 households per service serviced weekly. Wheelie Waste introduced its first walk through b double configuration for bulk haulage of recycling.
2003

2003 Wheelie Waste went on to be awarded the ‘Most successful contractor in waste management for the Northern Region of Victoria’ after completing a resident audit, due to our exceptional level of quality service and customer focus. In September 2003, Wheelie Waste was granted the upgraded Quality Assured Company Standard from ISO 9002:1994 to ISO 9001:2000 after a full external audit was conducted on all company procedures and policies. Also in 2003, we were reawarded the Ararat Rural City waste and recyclables contract for a further three year period. This was again reawarded in 2006, and at the same time we were awarded the new Northern Grampians Shire contract for waste & recycling.
2000

2000 In August 2000 we were reawarded the Corangamite Shire Waste and Recyclables contract, which will also include a kerbside Greenwaste collection.
1999

1999 During 1999 we secured the Murrindindi Garbage collection contract and recorded significant increases in customer service levels from the community. The previous contractor was dismissed and Wheelie Waste were given one months notice to commence the service contract prior to Christmas, working in difficult areas such as the black spur. In March 1999 Wheelie Waste constructed a state of the art Materials Recovery Facility at Boorcan for the retreival and sorting of recyclable materials. This site accepts all waste recyclable material from throughout South West Victoria. At this facility we process PET, HDPE, Glass, Aluminium, Steel, Paper and cardboard. This facility halved the waste to landfill for the Corangamite Shire due to Wheelie Waste’s persistance in monitoring all recycling to keep it contamination free. A huge saving to the local council. Most importantly during 1999 Wheelie Waste Pty Ltd became a Quality Assured Company offering security of service performance to all our clients. In partnership with this, Wheelie Waste appointed a full time internal auditor to continually monitor all procedures and policys to ensure we are continuing to provide a quality service and providing a better and safer service for all our customers.
1998

1998 A further recycling collection was added in 1998 when we secured the contract for the Rural City of Ararat.
1995

1995 A recycling contract from the Shire of Corangamite was awarded to Wheelie Waste, after a previous contractor faltered. Two day’s notice was given to Wheelie Waste to implement this Contract, which was undertaken successfully and is still being undertaken successfully today.
1991

1991 Gary Barton established Wheelie Waste Pty. Ltd. This Company has been successful in securing Contracts with the Shire of Moyne, Warrnambool Shire, Shire of Corangamite, Greater Shepparton City Council, Colac Otway Shire, Murrindindi Shire, Ararat Rural City, Northern Grampians, Southern Grampians and most recently the Shire of Strathbogie, for the collection of domestic garbage, green waste and recycling from their respective Shires.
1972

In 1972 the Barton family was successful in securing the garbage collection contract for the City of Warrnambool. In the thirty nine years since, with now over 450,000 collections per week, no garbage or recycling collection day has been missed. The Barton family have been synonymous with all types of waste collection in the State of Victoria since this time.

The Future

Wheelie Waste looks confidently towards the future, with plans that include expanding our residential and commercial collections. We provide a reliable service and have a stable and secure history.
